Helen M. Parimuha Obituary

Helen M. Parimuha, 97, of Hermitage, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2022, at the Villas at St. Paul's in Greenville.

Born on July 31, 1924, in Adams, Mass., Helen was the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary Skibiak Lanick.

She graduated in 1942 from Uniontown High School and went to work during the war wiring airplanes. She was a true "Rosie the Riveter." Later, she met her husband Andrew while working at Westinghouse. They were married on June 19, 1948, and he preceded her in death on June 11, 1997.

Helen retired from Westinghouse in the mid 1980s where she worked as an assembler. She had also worked at Camp Reynolds.

She was a member of St. John's Orthodox Church in Hermitage and a member of the Westinghouse Retirees. She enjoyed crocheting and gardening, growing flowers and vegetables.

Helen is survived by her son, John Parimuha of Hermitage; her daughter and son-in-law, Matushka Katherine "Kathy" Demshuk and V. Rev. Fr. Vladimir Demshuk of Masury, Ohio; a granddaughter, Larisa Padacchiola of Sudbury, Mass.; grandson Jonathan Demshuk of Austintown, Ohio; and a great-granddaughter, Elianna Padacchiola.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Rosalee Polanski and Mary Ruth Hanley.

Memorial contributions can be made in Helen's name to either St. John's Orthodox Church or to the Alzheimer's Association at alz.org.



Visitation: 10 a.m. until the time of service Monday (1-17-22) at St. John's Orthodox Church, 3180 Morefield Road, Hermitage.

Funeral service: 11 a.m. Monday in the church, with Fr. David Mastroberte.

Interment: St. John's Orthodox Cemetery, following the service.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the JOSEPH A. TOMON, JR. FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 97 Grim Ave., Ellwood City.
