Helen (Chuba) Kachaylo, 91, of Brookfield, Ohio, passed away on Sept. 8, 2023, at The Inn at Poland Way in Poland, Ohio.
After graduating from Sharpsville High School, Helen worked in banking for many years. She married Nicholas Kachaylo on April 26, 1958.
She was a member of St. John's Orthodox Church in Hermitage, and she enjoyed gardening and family get-togethers.
Helen is survived by her children, Judy McSweeney of San Diego, Calif.; and John Kachaylo, of Moon Township; as well as her son-in-law, Michael McSweeney; daughter-in-law, Renee Kachaylo; four adult grandchildren, Jack McSweeney of San Diego, Calif.; Grace McSweeney of Los Angeles, Calif.; Zack Kachaylo of Charlotte, N.C.; and Amanda Kachaylo of Pittsburgh; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by six brothers, Michael, John, George, Thomas, Andrew and Stephen Chuba; and three sisters, Anna Chuba, Mary Chuba, and Sue Lysohir.

Visitation: 10 to 11 a.m. Monday (9-11-23) at St. John's Orthodox Church, 3180 Morefield Road, Hermitage.
Funeral service: 11 a.m. Monday in the church, with Fr. David Mastroberte as celebrant.
Interment: St. John's Orthodox Cemetery, following the service.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the JOSEPH A. TOMON JR. FUNERAL HOME and CREMATORY, 97 Grim Ave., Ellport.
