Harriett V. Saunders Obituary

Harriett V. Saunders, 93, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2024, at her home in Sharon.

Harriett was born May 1, 1930, in Pittsburgh, the daughter of the late Ralph Green and Harriett B. Marshall.

Aunt Bootsie, as she was affectionately known, spent most of her years in Pittsburgh. Due to declining health issues inherent with aging, she was moved to Sharon in 2014 to be near her brother and other family members who could care for her.

Harriett will be sadly missed by her family, including her nieces Benita (Bonnie) Harris, Elaina Ivery, Elthea Marshall and Erica Holt; nephews Emmanuel Marshall, Jr., Nathan Marshall, and Michael S. Marshall; sisters-in-law Betty Marshall and Janet Spells; stepdaughter Joyce Breakbill; grandchildren Valerie, Leo, Nadine, Yvette, and William Breakbill; extended family members and a host of friends and caregivers.

She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence Saunders and only brother, Emmanuel Marshall, Sr.


Visitation: 10:30 a.m. until the time of service Saturday (4-20-24) in the SAMPLE-O'DONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 555 E. State St., Sharon, 16146.

Memorial service: 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home.

Burial: St. Mary's Cemetery.
