Sharon - Harold Raymond Kerr, Sharon, passed away unexpectedly Monday, Nov. 17, 2025, in his home. He was 74.
Mr. Kerr was born June 24, 1951, in Charleroi, Pa, a son of Charles and Margaret (Austin) Kerr.
He was a 1970 graduate of Hickory High School and honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.
Harold was employed for more than 10 years at the former Sharon Tube. Upon the plant's closure, he began working in construction, both as an independent carpenter and for many years at Harvey Byler Construction in Hermitage.
A kind soul, he was always willing to help someone in need. As a young boy, Harold enjoyed fishing with his family. Harold was a lover of music. He enjoyed playing harmonica, especially the blues, for family and friends.
He leaves behind his beloved dog, Mocha; two brothers, Charles Kerr Jr. and his wife, Jennifer, Sharon; and Gary Kerr and his wife, Luann, Hermitage; a half-brother, Francis LaCamera, Michigan City, Ind.; a step-sister, Chamaine Jerome and her husband, Thomas, Columbus, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife, Cynthia McGowan; his step-father, Frank LaCamera; and a step-sister, Kathleen LaCamera.
