Gordon Syslo of New York, N.Y. died unexpectedly Nov. 14, 2016, at his home. He was 65.
Gordon was born in Sharon on July 11, 1951, and was a longtime resident of the Shenango Valley. He was a member of the class of 1969 at Sharon High School and attended the Church of the Redeemer Episcopal Church.
Gordon graduated from Penn State University.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Syslo and Mary Benjamin Syslo; and a brother, Mark John Syslo.
Surviving are two sisters, Gail Jarocki of Southport, N.C. and Margaret Syslo Sciarratta, Tamarac, Fla.
Family members will hold a personal memorial service in the near future.
