The Villages, Florida - Glen Allen Augustine, 79, of The Villages, Fla., passed away peacefully on Nov. 20, 2025, at Generations Senior Living in Wildwood, Fla., with his devoted wife Patty by his side.
Glen was born on Nov. 16, 1946, in Jamestown, Pa., to James and Virginia (Reese) Augustine.
Glen was a parishioner at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church in Wildwood, Fla.
He married the love of his life, Patricia Luciani, on Dec. 29, 1989, and together they built a life full of love, laughter, and adventure.
Glen and Patty enjoyed nearly 18 wonderful years residing at their lake home at Lake Latonka, where family, friends, and especially his father-in-law, Tony Luciani, shared countless fishing trips and memories.
Glen graduated from Greenville High School in 1965 and earned his bachelor's degree from Youngstown State University.
His career in banking was marked by excellence and leadership; he served as president and CEO of Greenville Savings Bank for 15 years.
Prior to that, Glen was a commercial lender for PNC Bank and a branch manager for McDowell Bank in both Transfer and Greenville. He loved his 46-year career with the banking industry.
Proudly serving his country as a staff sergeant in the Air Force during the Vietnam War, Glen was honorably awarded the Vietnam Service Medal, Air Force Good Conduct Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal and National Defense Service Medal.
His dedication to community extended beyond his military service Glen was past president of the Greenville Country Club and the Greenville Area Chamber of Commerce; the Greenville Businessmen's yearly Christmas party that donated gifts to children in need; and a member of the Thiel College Board of Associates.
Glen embraced life with boundless energy. He was an avid skier, relishing both downhill and cross-country adventures.
He loved water skiing, hunting, fishing, and golfing, sharing these experiences with loved ones, especially during cherished visits with his father-in-law at their lake home.
Dancing was a lifelong joy for Glen; he began lessons at age three-and-a-half under instructor MaryAnn Rose and was a member of the VFW Sweethearts.
Glen and his brother Bob once performed a song and dance routine on the Gene Carroll Amateur Show, which aired on Cleveland's Channel 5. Glen continued to share his love of dance with his wife Patty - together they enjoyed dancing at every event they attended.
He is survived by his wife, Patty Augustine of The Villages, Fla.; his daughter, Dana (Augustine) Burke and husband Tim of Lexington Park, Md.; his brother, Bob Augustine and wife Dorse of Hermitage; his father-in-law, Tony Luciani of Greenville; and many nieces, nephews and cousins whom he dearly loved.
Glen is preceded in death by his parents, James and Virginia (Reese) Augustine, as well as his beloved aunt, Mary Reese.
Glen's legacy will endure in the lives of those he touched with his generosity, humor, leadership, and unwavering love for family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at Saint Michael Church, Greenville, at a date to be determined.
Burial will follow at Saint Michael Cemetery.
