Gilbert "Gene" Robinson Obituary
Gilbert "Gene" Robinson, 90, of Orangeville, Ohio, passed away Tuesday evening, Oct. 18, 2022, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren.
He was born June 5, 1932, in Greenville, the son of Roy and Jeannette DuMars Robinson.
He was a Vernon High School graduate.
He worked at Shenango Inc. in Sharpsville. He was a crane operator and also worked with the furnaces pouring the iron.
After retirement, he went back to work as a watchman.
He is survived by four nieces, Kathleen Ryan of Hartford, Linda Unangst of Orangeville, Susan Willmes of Queen Creek, Ariz., and Cindy Ogren of Gilbert, Ariz.; three nephews, Larry Kautzman of Sharpsville, John Kautzman of Sandy Lake, and Ron Kautzman of Chagrin Falls.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Mary Unangst, who raised him from the age of five, Katherine Kautzman White, Virginia Kidd, and Rosemary Robinson; brothers, Charles, Glen, and Freddie Robinson; and nephew, Richard Unangst.
