Sun City Center, Florida, formerly of Sharon, Florida - Gail Marie (Burbank) Miller, 84, of Sun City Center, Florida, formerly of Sharon, passed away on June 16, 2026, after a long struggle with kidney disease.

Born on January 18, 1942, in Warren, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late William C. Burbank and the late Margaret J. (Weaver) Sherwood, and the daughter of the late J. Frank Sherwood, Jr.

Gail married Leonard S. Miller on June 15, 1963, and together they built a life defined by love, adventure, and devotion to family over 63 years of marriage. She was generous with her time, her heart, and her home, opening her doors to others who became her "adopted" children. Those who knew her would tell you she was one of the kindest people they had ever met, and an amazing listener who made everyone feel truly heard.

Gail had an incredible zest for life and an insatiable love of travel. She visited all 50 states and all seven continents, logged over 200 days at sea across 26 cruises, and even took a world cruise. One of her greatest joys was taking each of her grandchildren on a trip of their choosing, creating memories that will be treasured for generations.

Gail had a beautiful voice and shared it generously, singing in her high school choir, her church choirs, the Shenango Valley Chorale, and the local Penn State Chorale. She served her community as a Cub Scout den mother, a Girl Scout Leader, and as a member of the Sharon School Building Authority. She could often be found at the bowling alley, where she competed in four different leagues over the years. An avid baker, Gail was especially known for her intricately decorated sugar cookies for every holiday.

Above all, Gail was a woman of deep and abiding faith. She served as a Stephen Minister at Sharon First United Methodist Church, founded the church's Weekly on Wednesday, known as WOW, for kids in the 4th through 6th grades, and sat on multiple committees over the years. Her faith was not something she simply carried; it was something she lived and shared with everyone around her.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Leonard; her sons, Stephen C. (Katherine) Miller, Seth A. (Donna) Miller, and her daughter, Margaret J. Andrews; her "adopted" children Monica Torres and Michael Brodesky; her sister, Susan C. (James) Hennessy; her brothers, Mark P. Sherwood and J. Frank (Ellen) Sherwood, III; seven grandchildren (Kasey Miller, Addie (Zach) Miller, Hallie (Garrett) Arborgast, Calvin (Grace) Miller, Caroline (Brett) Miller, Katelyn (Joshua) Andrews, and Ciro Torres; three great grandchildren; and many loved ones.
