Franklin H. Schell Obituary
Clark, Pennsylvania - Franklin H. Schell, Clark, passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 1, 2025, in his residence, with his loving family by his side. He was 91.
Known by many as "Tiny," Frank was born Nov. 11, 1933, in Sharon. He was the son of Leon and Alice (Porterfield) Schell.
Frank was a graduate of Sharon High School and served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked for many years as a laborer and time-keeper for GATX and then went to work for First National Bank of Pennsylvania as a supervisor for the courier department, until his retirement in 2014.
Frank was an avid bowler and belonged to local bowling leagues, where he was presented with many trophies and awards for his outstanding scores. Some of his other interests and hobbies included listening and dancing to classic country music. Tiny had a great sense of humor and could get a good laugh out of anyone he met. However, his greatest love was spending time with his grandchildren. He attended all of their various sporting, music and school events. He was a member of the former St. Adalbert's Church in Farrell.
He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather and friend, who was loved and will be missed by them all.
Tiny is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Jane T. (Pazgan) Schell; three daughters, Janina (Paul) Testani, Barboursville, W.V., Krisann (Jerry) Trontel, Clark, and Julie (Dr. John) Cunningham, Hermitage; a son, Don Hepler, Struthers, Ohio; two brothers, Charles (Karen) Schell, Clark, and William Schell, Sharon; a sister, Ruth Allshouse, Butner, North Carolina; seven grandchildren, Kelly (Christian) Punzalan, Erica (William Wills) Testani, Dr. Aaron (Natassja) Trontel, Jared Trontel, Collin Trontel, Michael Sweitzer and Matthew Cunningham; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by five sisters, Priscilla Schell, Beatrice Winger, Flora Coxson, Margaret Brakeman and Neomia Levitt; and a brother, Leon Schell.
Memorial contributions can be made to St Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St Jude PL, Memphis TM.
The family would like to offer a special thanks to Helping Hands Hospice for their great care.
