Francis W. "Bub' Coleman, 94, of Mercer, passed peacefully at home on Saturday evening, March 22, 2025, surrounded by his family.

Francis was born in Wilmington, Del., on Aug. 3, 1930, to Iona (Coleman) Hollibaugh.

He married Edith J. Jones on Feb. 2, 1965.

Francis served as an Army combat engineer for six years and served during the Korean War.

Francis retired from Reznor Corp., Mercer.

He was a lifetime member of the Stanley Snyder VFW Post 7465, Volant.

Francis loved life to the fullest. He enjoyed tinkering, dancing, singing, and working with his Lionel trains.

His family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to a special friend Edward Zahniser and a special neighbor David Burk.

He is survived by his wife, Edith, at home; a sister, Roxana (Hollibaugh) Odem, Massachusetts; a niece and nephew whom he considered as children to him, Jody Hollibaugh Brocious, Kittanning; and Brian (Melinda) Hollibaugh, Commodore, Pa.; and many great nieces and nephews.

His mother preceded him in death.

Burial with military honors at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, Pa.
