Eva E. Cook (Eva) Obituary

Eva E. Cook, 92, of Brookfield, entered eternal life on Thursday, July

11, 2024, while a patient at O'Brien's Memorial Nursing Home, Masury,

and under Hospice care, following an extended illness.

Eva was born Oct. 17, 1931, in Sharon, a daughter to Peter and Eva (Hemlinger) Yarabenetz.

She was a 1949 graduate from Brookfield High School. She married the love

of her life, John P. "Tubby" Cook, shortly thereafter on July 15, 1950.

In 1959, Eva finished beautician school in Youngstown and began a career as

a beautician. In addition, she worked in the cosmetic department at

Livingston's and Maxwell's.

She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Hubbard.

In her spare time, Eva enjoyed playing golf. However, she was known for her

tasty nut rolls.

Survivors include her daughter, Eva (John) Moore, of Burghill; her

grandchildren, Shaun Cook; Mary Dohallow; Jennifer Jordan; Josh Moore; and Jake Moore; nine great-grandchildren, including, Frankie and Ryker Cook; three great-great-grandchildren; her brother, Joseph (Beverly) Yarabenetz, of

Masury; and her extended family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John, who passed Feb. 1, 2004; son, Frank J. Cook; and sisters, Pauline McNeel & Margaret "Tudge" Seiple.

In accordance with her wishes, a memorial service will be held at a future

date. She will be laid to rest next to her husband and son in Hubbard Union

Cemetery.
