West Middlesex - Eugene C. "Gene" Schilling, of Fennell Road, West Middlesex, passed away Friday, Dec. 12, 2025 in UPMC Horizon Hospital, Farrell. He was 89.
Gene was born June 11, 1936, in Nicktown, Cambria County, Pa., to the late Walter and Christine Natcher Schilling.
He married the former Patricia Marie Miller, and she survives at the residence.
Following graduation, Gene served his country in the US Army.
He retired from IBM as a repair technician. Gene was a man who could fix or repair most anything. He was an avid hunter, but most important to him was spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia, and three daughters, Debra (David) Fockler of West Middlesex, Michele (Mark) Seybert of Montana, Beatrice (Richard) Klumph of West Middlesex, and twin sons, Gene (Trisha) Schilling and Greg (Shelia) Schilling, both of Greenville; 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren complete the family.

Calling hours: 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday (12-17-25) in Church of the Good Shepherd, 3613 Sharon Road, West Middlesex.
Service: Noon Wednesday in the church, with Father Glenn Whitman officiating.
Entombment will follow at St. Rose Cemetery, Hermitage.
