Edward A. Bartholomew, of West Sunbury, Pa., passed away Saturday morning Oct. 12, 2024. He was 80.

Born Feb. 15, 1944, in Mercer County, he was the son of Elmer C. and Edna E. (Patterson) Bartholomew.

Ed was a member of the West Sunbury United Presbyterian Church. He was an avid car and motorcycle enthusiast. He loved bowling and was dedicated to his weekly bowling league at the Sherwood Senior League. He loved animals, and animals loved him. He loved tinkering in his garage. Ed will always be remembered for his joy in making people laugh.

Ed is survived by his wife, Kathy (Heck) Bartholomew, whom he married May 22, 1965; his daughter, Holly (Russ) Collins, Karns City, Pa.; his son, Keith Bartholomew (Laura Czzowitz and son, Kyle), West Sunbury; three granddaughters, Courtney Collins (Mark), Kayla Collins, and Karley Collins (Donovan and son, Maverick); two step grandchildren: Nathan (Heather) Hoshak and Ashley Hoshak; and his sister, Edie Meiss, Sharpsville, and her family.

He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Olivia Grace Bartholomew; and brother-in-law, Al Meiss.
