Hermitage, Pennsylvania - Dr. Douglas Rauch, 83, of Hermitage, passed away on Friday, June 13, 2025, in Sharon Regional Medical Center.

Dr. Rauch was born on Jan. 27, 1942, in Pittsburgh, son of the late Harwood and Marie (Murphy) Rauch. He was a 1960 graduate of Baldwin High School in South Hills and studied Pre-Med at the University of Dayton, Ohio. He then matriculated at the University of Bologna in Italy, where he earned his medical degree. He completed his internship at the former St. Francis Hospital and a three-year residency at UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital, Pittsburgh, before starting his practice in the Shenango Valley.

An avid golfer, he was a member of the Sharon Country Club and enjoyed golf trips with his friends. He was also a lifelong fan of Pittsburgh sports and loved to travel.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Carol (Feick); two sons, Kevin (Kate), Hummelstown, and Keith (Sarah), Bryn Mawr; four grandchildren, Jordan, Haley, Henry and Lilly; a sister, Nancy Berenda, Allison Park; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Doug was preceded in death by his sister, Judy Ockerman.
