Dorothy Sarver Obituary

Dorothy Sarver, New Wilmington, formerly of Hermitage, passed away at 4 a.m. March 29, 2020, in Shenango on the Green in New Wilmington from natural causes. She was 98.

Mrs. Sarver was born Feb. 28, 1922, in Warren, Pa., a daughter of Ludwig and Ida (Jacobson) Peterson.

Dorothy graduated from Grove City College in 1944.

She worked at the Sharon High School library from 1970 to 1985.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Sharon.

Dorothy was a member of the P.E.O College Club, Prospect Heights and Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees and several bridge groups and book clubs.

She is survived by three daughters, Mary Amtmann and her husband Raymond, Marquette, Mich.; Margaret Spernoga and her husband Robert, Columbus, Ohio; and Anne Kuhns and her husband William, Paris, Ky.; a son-in-law, Thomas Jordan, Annapolis, Md.; seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William C. Sarver, whom she married June 15, 1946, and who passed away April 28, 1993; and a daughter, Irene Jordan.
