Donna J. Wall Robb (Donna) Obituary

Donna J. Wall Robb of Hermitage passed away on March 13, 2025, at Hospice of the Valley Hospice House, Youngstown, after suffering a stroke on March 11. She was 87.

Donna was born on Dec. 7, 1937, to Allen F. and Bertha Schiffko Wall, the youngest of six children.

She married Dr. James Robb on Feb. 6, 1988. He preceded her in death on Jan. 4, 2003.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Sharon, and member and past president of the Sharon Music Club.

Mrs. Robb graduated from West Middlesex High School in 1955 and what was then the Shenango Valley Commercial Institute in October 1955.

Donna began her employment history at the age of 17 and her employment would span a total of 64 years, retiring finally at the age of 81.

She worked in various offices at Sharon Steel for 31 years retiring in 1991 as a corporate secretary when Sharon Steel shut down operations. She became involved with the Mental Health Association of Mercer County with her husband Jim.

When Jim passed away in 2003, she took over his position of executive director and she remained in that position for 17 years until her retirement.

Donna was also a Mary Kay Consultant for over 30 years. She loved her customers like they were family.

Donna approached everything in her life with gusto, determination, and independence. She liked reading and putting into action many remodeling books and books on flowers and bushes for her yard. She liked helping people who needed a hand up, especially at the Mental Health Association.

Donna is survived by her brother Robert Wall, El Cajon, Calif.; as well as two special nieces who were also her caregivers, Dorothy (Jerry) Maxwell; and Terri Beth (Randy) Neiswonger; along with many other nieces and nephews of several generations that she loved dearly. She also leaves behind her dog Jake who was her constant and loyal companion.

In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Gus Wall, George Wall and Allen E. Wall; a sister, Betty Milano; her daughter, Paula Wall; and step-daughter Darla Beatty.

The family would like to express their sincere thanks to Caregivers Plus, Kerri, Linda and Rita who all were so kind and compassionate to Donna and her family. Also thank you to McGonigle Ambulance for their quick action time and transport.
