Mercer - Donald William Rabold, 91, of Mercer, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2025 at Quality Life Services in Mercer. Don was a lifetime Mercer resident and lifelong dairy farmer.

On Feb. 17, 1934, Don was born in Mercer to the late Alois and Anna (Lang) Rabold. He graduated from Mercer High School in 1953. Don worked for ITT Reznor and then became a farmer on the family farm with his twin brother, Ronald. He also worked for B Line Local and drove milk truck for Irishtown Acres farm to the Cheese plant in New Wilmington.

Don was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Mercer, he belonged to the Mercer County Antique Power Association and he was an antique tractor collector. He was a huge Pittsburgh Steelers Fan.

Surviving is his wife, Carole (Hayden) Rabold, whom he married on May 5, 1991; two sons, Ken (Anna) Rabold, Mercer, and Greg (Kathy) Rabold, Austin, Texas; daughter-in-law, Andrea Rabold, Greenville; and his former wife, Joyce (Cathcart) Gerrish, Pulaski. Don is also survived by three step-children, Thomas (Alice) Tomasko, New Middletown, Ohio; Janet Atwill, Hadley, and Elizabeth (John) Grimmett, Warren, Ohio. He will be missed by his four grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, two great grandchildren and five step great grandchildren.

Don is preceded in death by his parents; son, Mike Rabold; sister, Alice Makowski; twin brother, Ronald Robert Rabold; and grandson, Alex Rabold.
