Daniel W. Davis, 55, of New Castle, passed away on Saturday (Sept. 7, 2019).
Born Jan. 1, 1964, in New Castle, he was the son of James and Josephine (English) Davis.
He and Marla Jessell Ott had been married for nine years. She survives at home.
Daniel became a carpenter with his father. After his carpentry, he was a truck driver and loved driving for Homan Transportation.
He enjoyed woodworking and was also an avid fan of Harley-Davidson motorcycles. What gave Daniel the most joy in life was spending time with his family.
Along with his wife, Marla, Daniel is survived by: four step-daughters, Brianna Bailey of Italy, Olivia, Sarah and Amanda Ott, all of New Castle; two brothers, Ralph Hedglin and Doug Davis; two sisters Caroline Gregory and Jaymie Davis; and three step-grandchildren, Robby, Evelyn and Scarlett Bailey.
Preceding him in death were his parents and one sister, Barbara.
