Sharpsville, Pennsylvania - Christy Fier, 102, of Sharpsville, formerly of Sharon, passed away Friday, Feb. 27, 2026, at his residence.
Born Aug. 28, 1923, in Oliver #1, Fayette County, he was the son of the Late Mike and Mary (Tardio) Fier.
He married the former Rosemarie Manion, and she preceded him in death on March 2, 2002.
Christy worked for the former Sharon Steel for over 30 years until his retirement. He also served his country honorably in the Army during World War II.
He was a member of the former First Assembly of God Church, now Family Life Church in Hermitage, where he served as an Elder. He was also a member of the Sharon American Legion Post 299, the Farrell VFW and was a volunteer for the American Red Cross, UPMC Horizon hospital and Joshua's Haven. Most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Christy is survived by two daughters, Margaret (David) Cashier, Sharpsville, and Elaine (Dennis) Rainey, Sharon; a son, Christopher (Lois) Fier, Sharpsville; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Rose Fani; two brothers, Frank and Tony Fier; and a granddaughter, Rosemarie Munich.

Calling hours: 12:30 to 1 p.m. Saturday (3-7-26) at Family Life Church, 1455 N. Keel Ridge Road, Hermitage.
Services: 1 p.m. Saturday from the church with Pastor Chris Massey and Associate Pastor Michael Sabella officiating.
Interment: Brookfield Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by the HAROLD W. STEVENSON FUNERAL HOME LLC, 264 E. State St., Sharon.
