Fredonia, Pennsylvania - Charlene "Chari" F. Dillaman, 73, of Fredonia, formerly of Mercer, passed peacefully Sunday evening, Nov. 16, 2025, at Greystone Country Estates, surrounded by friends.
Charlene was born in Grove City on Aug. 17, 1952, to Ruth Engle Dillaman.
She was a graduate of Grove City High School, class of 1970. Later, she graduated from Slippery Rock University with a teaching degree in Physical Education. Charlene taught Physical Education at a Central Christian in DuBois for 12 years.
She was a devout Christian and she attended many congregations throughout her life. Chari was very loved and would spend time with friends and family whenever possible. She could often be spotted at the Mercer County Grange Fair.
She is survived by a nephew, Todd Gruber, Greenville; a niece, Abbey Gruber; Brownsville; and a brother-in-law, Stan Gruber, Greenville.
She was preceded in death by her mother; her fiancé, Gary Lee Furey; a twin sister, Darlene Gruber; a sister, Mary Ellen Covert; and a brother, Harold Dillaman.
The family would like to thank the staff at Greystone Country Estates, Fredonia, for their kind and compassionate care given to Charlene over the past two and a half years, and also to the Rev. David and Betty Lingle for their many years of dedication and care for Charlene.
