Sharon, Pennsylvania - Catherine Ann Bauer, 89, of Sharon, passed away on Dec. 22, 2025, at UPMC Jameson surrounded by family, following a brief illness.

She was born in New Kensington on Dec. 19, 1936, to Lawrence Daniel Easley and Mary Ann (Fritch) Easley.

Catherine was married to Richard D. Bauer, who preceded her in death.

Catherine graduated from high school and spent her life as a homemaker. She was a lifetime member at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Farrell. She was a woman of strong faith her whole life. She had a special admiration for the Blessed Mother and prayed to her daily.

She loved bowling and continued bowling until very recently. She enjoyed feeding the birds from her porch and even had a name for each of them. She did word-search puzzles every day and enjoyed shopping at flea markets and church sales. She liked playing card games like Euchre and Skip Bo.

Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her friends and family and took pride in being a loving Grandmother.

Catherine was very caring and had a heart of gold.

Catherine is survived by a daughter, Linda L (Jeff) Johnson of Sharon; daughter-in-law, Crystal Bauer; five grandchildren, Kathie Jo (Stephen) Hall, Mari Jo Bauer, Amanda Bateman, Cory (Courtney) Johnson, James "Beau" Bauer; sister, Helen (John) Burnett; two great-granddaughters, Alicia Dobbs and Kayla Arsenau; four great-grandsons, Ryan Dobbs, Dominic Dobbs, Ezra Bauer and Hunter Bateman; two great-great-grandsons, Cooper Dobbs, Elias Aresnau; very special friends, Michael and Suzy Guzik and Terry Campbell, who she always considered family; and her wonderful caregiver, Jackie Hoover.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Richard D Bauer Jr. and James E Bauer; sister, Mary Ellen Berisky; brother, Lawrence "Duke" Easley; and great-grandson, Cooper Johnson.
