Vienna, Ohio - Carolyn S. Solakakis, 76, of Vienna, Ohio, passed away Friday evening, May 8, 2026 at the Hospice House in Poland, Ohio.

Carolyn was born on Sept. 5, 1949, in Niles, Ohio, a daughter of Anthony and Thelma Petricini.

She was a graduate of Brookfield High School and continued her education at cosmetology school, where she became licensed in Ohio and Pennsylvania.

She was an instructor at Raphael's Beauty School and an inspector for Lexington Connector Seals.

She enjoyed crocheting, working in her yard, going to concerts and vacations to the beach.

Most of all, she loved being with her family. She showed her family and friends unconditional love and kindness, and was always the first to help anyone in need.

Carolyn will be deeply missed by her loving children, John A. Solakakis Sr. and Angella S. McMath; grandchildren, Brianna (Kylan) Montgomery, Courtney E. McMath, Sydney McMath, John Solakakis Jr. and Taylor (Kyle) Solakakis; great-grandchildren, Chloe, Oden, Harmony and Aubrey; and her brother, Jerry (Julianne) Petricini.

Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday (5-13-26) at LANE FUNERAL HOMES — MADASZ CHAPEL, 6923 Warren-Sharon Road, Brookfield, Ohio.

Funeral services: 10 a.m. Thursday (5-14-26) at the funeral home.

Burial: St. Mary's Cemetery, Hermitage.
