Mercer, Pennsylvania - Betty Lou Barker, 86, of Mercer, passed away on Monday, Feb. 9, 2026, in Erie. She was born in Mercer on Sept. 12, 1939 to the late Raymond J. and Florence E. (McCauslin) Shaffer.
Betty enjoyed reading, crocheting and making flower gardens.
Surviving is her son, Kenneth Barker, Mercer; two sisters, Nancy (Bob) Ringer, Mercer, Carolyn Zigo, Spotsylvania, Va.; and one brother, Raymond (Chris) Shaffer, Sharpsville.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mercer Area Public Library, 110 E. Venango Street, Mercer.
