Arin Marie Ackerman-Nezdoba, 40, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2024, at home surrounded by her loved ones after a long courageous battle with colorectal cancer.

Born on Sept. 13, 1984, Arin was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, and sister, whose love and spirit touched everyone around her.

A passionate gardener, cook and crafter, Arin poured her heart into her home and family, creating a warm and inviting space filled with love.

Arin was also a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed participating and watching her son's and nephew's sporting events.

Her spirit will continue to inspire those who knew her.

She leaves behind her beloved husband, Joe Nezdoba, and their cherished son, John Nezdoba.

Arin is also survived by her loving sisters, her twin, Arianne Ackerman, Angela (David) Blanchard, Amanda (Nick) Mercado, and Natalie (Vince) Marbley, along with her brothers, Shane (Jennifer) Ackerman, Eric Ackerman, Casey Waugh, and Freddie (Kylie) Mercado; her mother, Colleen Mercado; and step-father, Fred Mercado, will forever hold her memory close, as will her grandmother, Sandra (Bob) Noday; niece, Janessa, and nephews, Ayden, Treyvor, Amir, Greyson, Nick and Jaden Ackerman, whom she adored and treated as her own son; a host of uncles, aunts, cousins; and her beloved fur babies, Bear and Deuce, who brought her immeasurable joy.

Arin was preceded in death by her grandfather, Albert "Dino" Wilkes, and her uncle, Shawn Wilkes.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to her childhood friend, Kenyetta Whipple, and to Kylie Alexander for the compassionate care they provided during her final days, as well as the continuous help from relative Dr. Jones. Special thank you to Dr. Kanters and Dr. Nair at the Cleveland Clinic for their outstanding care during her battle.
