shoreline, Washington - Arden E."Sonny" Gilson, 80, passed away Jan. 7, 2026, in Shoreline, Wash.
He was born Aug. 12, 1945, in Sharon to Arden E. Sr. and Mary (Miklos) Gilson.
He graduated from West Middlesex High School in 1963. He joined the Navy and served in Japan and California and later served in the National Guard.
He previously worked at Westinghouse, Hartford Orchards, and retired from Mercer Forge.
He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting and camping.
His love, faith and relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ was shown by attending church, studying the bible and serving as a deacon.
He was proceeded in death by his parents.
Survived by sons, Paul (Laura) Tulalip, Wash.; and Shawn, Flowery Branch, Ga.; a grandson, Thomas; a sister, Cheryl Cave, Hermitage; and extended family.
Service was Wednesday, Jan. 14. Burial was at Tacoma National Cemetery with military honors.
