Anne L. Matuk Obituary

Anne L. Matuk, a former longtime resident of Sharon, passed away Aug. 6, 2024, at O'Brien Memorial Nursing Home, Masury, Ohio. She was 102.

She was born to Thomas Dimoff and Mary Rose Scevik Jan. 21, 1922, in Greenville. Her family moved to Farrell when she was nine. She attended St. Michael's Catholic School in Greenville and St. Ann's Catholic School in Farrell.

Anne married Casimir J. Matuk on June 10, 1944, at St. Ann's Church in Farrell.

She was a member of St. Adalbert's Catholic Church after her marriage until its closing. She was a member of the church's Infant of Prague and Rosary Societies. She also enjoyed helping at the church with pirogis.

Anne's interests in her younger days were bingo, scrabble, bus trips, books on tape, and most of all her family.

Anne is survived by her son, Charles (Sue) Matuk; daughter, Diane (Richard) Redway; granddaughters, Elizabeth, Mary and Allison (Ian); great-grandson, Owen; step-granddaughter, Karrie (Jaime); and step-great-grandsons, Shane and Trevor.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Casimir on May 3, 1993; sister, Josephine A. Fetsko; and brother, Thomas C. Dimoff.

Mass of Christian burial at noon Saturday in the church.
