Madison, Ind. - Anna Mae Spindler, 88, of Madison, Ind., passed away on Dec. 2, 2025.
She was born April 16, 1937, in the Number 5 Mine area of Springfield Township, Mercer County.
She graduated from Mercer High School in 1956 and enjoyed classic country western music, collecting Native American-style trinkets and military hats, and her morning coffee with Lorna Doone cookies.
She is survived by her children, David Spindler, Connie Ingels and Kathryn Spindler; nine grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Helen and Theodore Irwin; her brother, Robert William "Bill" Irwin; and her children, Linda Spindler, Helen Grove and Kenneth Robert Spindler.
Viewing: 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday (12-9-25) at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Village of Leesburg, 1778 Perry Hwy., Volant.
Funeral services: 11 a.m. Wednesday (12-10-25) in the funeral home.
