Sharon - Alison Ann Chiavazza, formerly of Sharon, passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 1, 2025, in Harmar Village Care Center near the home of her son after an extended illness. She was 76.

She was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., February 22, 1947, to Doris and Joseph Fitzgerald.

Alison attended school in Pittsburgh before the family relocated to Texas where she attended college and became a legal secretary. She enjoyed working for Attorney Calvin J. Woodward her entire career and in retirement worked part time in the Sharon School District.

Alison was preceded in death by; her parents, husband, Dennis Chiavazza, and brothers, Michael and John.

She is survived by a brother, Charlie Fitzgerald, a sister, Gerri Wrigge, a son, Christopher (Ronna) Riffle, Fox Chapel, Pa., and stepson, Joseph (Lisa) Chiavazza, Sharpsville; and six wonderful grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren, whom she adored and was extremely proud of.

In lieu of flowers donations can be sent in her memory to The Chromosome 18 Registry and Research Society (7155 Oakridge Drive, San Antonio, Texas 78229) to honor her granddaughter Chloe Violet Riffle.
