Agnes Leach, 94, formerly of Espyville, Shenango area, Conneaut Lake and a resident of Rolling Fields Elder Care Community, Conneautville, since December 2015, passed away peacefully Thursday, April 5, 2018.
She was born Sept. 28, 1923, in Brookfield, Ohio, a daughter of Ralph H. and Clara White McFarland. She was a 1940 graduate of Brookfield High School.
She married Wayne Leach July 11, 1941, and he preceded her in death March 28, 1974.
Agnes was a homemaker and worked on the family farm. For many years she was an active member of Lebanon Presbyterian Church in Mercer, where she served in many capacities. More recently, she attended Trinity United Methodist Church, where she enjoyed bible study. Agnes enjoyed corresponding with family and many friends. She enjoyed baking and was known as the "Pie Lady."
Survivors include her children, Gloria Leach Wright (Alan) of Willoughby, Ohio, Margaret (Peg) Reese (Jon) of Guys Mills, Pa., and Virginia (Ginny) Trimble of Conneaut Lake; James Leach (Barb) of Richmond, Va; and daughter-in-law Linda Leach Hapner of Las Vegas, Nev. She had 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; one sister, Betty Brest of West Middlesex; a sister-in-law, Eileen McElhaney of Hubbard, Ohio; and close friend, Tom McAdams of Meadville. She had numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Gerald Wayne (Jerry) Leach; a brother, Ralph McFarland, Jr.; and two sisters, Marguerite McFarland and Bonnie Dellarco.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Espyville Cemetery Association, 1868 Chapel Road, Espyville, PA 16424 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
The family would like to thank the caregivers and any others at Rolling Fields that made Agnes' life more comfortable in her last years.

Calling hours: 4 to 7 p.m. Monday (4-9-18) at WAID-COLEMAN FUNERAL HOME, 12422 Conneaut Lake road, Conneaut Lake, and 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday (4-10-18) at Trinity United Methodist Church, 240 N. Third St., Conneaut Lake.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Tuesday in the church with the Revs. Dave Brumagin and William Green officiating.
Interment: Private at a later date in Espyville Cemetery.
