Ruth L. McDougall, a longtime resident of Grove City, passed away Thursday, Aug. 10, 2017, in Orchard Manor, following an extended illness. She was 94.
Ruth was born Jan. 12, 1923, in Rimersburg, Pa., to John and May (Elder) Lerch, where she was raised.
She married John McDougall on Sept. 12, 1945; he preceded her in death on Jan. 1, 1994.
She retired from Slippery Rock University.
Ruth was a member, elder and deacon of East Main Presbyterian Church, Grove City.
She enjoyed family, friends, quilting, gardening and playing dominos.
Surviving are: two sons, Bob McDougall and wife Liz, Edgewood, Ky.; and Bill McDougall and wife Joann, Burlington, N.C.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Ruth was preceded in death by: her parents; a daughter, Sue Ellen Wynne (1993); and a sister, Louise O'Grandy.

Visitation: 10 to 11:20 a.m. Friday (8-18-17) in East Main Presbyterian Church, 120 E. Main St., Grove City.
Funeral service: 11:30 a.m. Friday (8-18-17) in the church, officiated by Ruth's granddaughter, the Rev. Kyle McDougall of First Christian Church, Bowling Green, Ky.
Burial: Crestview Memorial Park, Grove City
