Rose Nogay, formerly of Farrell, passed away at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday (June 20, 2017) in O'Brien Convalescent Home, Masury. She was 93.
She was born in Greenville on June 11, 1924, to Stephen and Julia Uhrin Pachan, Sr.
She attended Farrell area schools.
Her husband, Walter Nogay, Sr., whom she married on Sept. 18, 1943, died on July 6, 2000.
Rose was a member of St. Adalbert Church in Farrell, and its Altar-Rosary Society and the Infant Jesus of Prague Society of the church. She was also a member of the Polish National Alliance.
She had worked for the Farrell School District for many years in the food services department.
She is survived by: two sons, Walter, Jr. and his wife Kathleen of Hermitage, and Louis and wife Diana of Brookfield; three granddaughters, Amy Nogay-Sirkin, Amanda Nogay and Tisha Culp; three great-grandchildren, Romy VanAlmen, Lily Nogay and Mario Boatwright; and several nieces and nephews.
Beside her husband she is preceded in death by three brothers, John, Louis and Steve Pachan Jr.
