Patricia Ann Amos, 91, of 246 W. Butler St., Mercer, died at 4:10 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2017, in Countryside Nursing Home.
Mrs. Amos was born April 24, 1926, to Anna Marie Mehall and William Wilson Amon.
She graduated from Mercer High School and attended Jameson School of Nursing in New Castle.
She worked at the former Mercer Cottage Hospital and Mercer Area School District. Later she worked at the Anna May Shop and G.C. Murphy Co. before resigning to take care of her husband.
In 1939, Patricia joined Mercer United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school for several years and helped to prepare for the annual church bazaar for a number of years.
She enjoyed knitting, making quilts, appliqueing, embroidering and crafts.
She also enjoyed working in her yard and taking walks.
Patricia married Robert D. Amos on Feb. 9, 1946; he died March 31, 1993.
Surviving are: three sons, Robert William Amos, Hermitage; Allen Lee (Jake) Amos, Danville, Calif.; and Thomas Arthur (Pablo) Amos, Mercer; three sisters, Judy Anthony, Medina, Ohio; Betty Cochran, Midlothian, Va.; and Mary Galeana in California; and a brother, Thomas E. Amon of Cincinnati.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; six sisters, Gertrude Jackal, Agnes Inman, Nancy Filer, Roselyn Garrett, Frances Buckley and Shirley A. Platt; and three brothers, William P. (Ching) Amon, Wilson (Hack) Amon and Elliott W. Amon.

Service: Private for family at their convenience with Rev. Brian Keller of Mercer United Methodist Church officiating.
Burial: America's Cemetery, Hermitage.
