Lucille I.'s Story
Lucille I. Shawgo of Liberty Township, Grove City, passed away Friday evening, June 2, 2017, at 9:30 p.m. in Grove Manor. She was 88.
Lucille was born in Bradleytown, Venango County, on Jan. 28, 1929, to Ralph Dewey and Maude Faye (Adams) Foster.
She married Loyal G. "Pete" Shawgo on Oct. 23, 1948; he preceded her in death on July 18, 2003.
She was a homemaker and a member of North Liberty Presbyterian Church.
Lucille was a graduate of Rockland Township High School class of 1947 and she attended Franklin Commercial College.
Survivors include: five children, Vicki L. Gonnelly, Grove City; Debra Lee Seaton, Pittsboro, N.C.; Erin P. O'Hanlon, Highpoint, N.C.; Bruce Shawgo and wife Mary, O'Fallon, Mo.; and Daniel P. Shawgo, Deltona, Fla.; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Jane Towers, Franklin, and Lois Fehrs, Manassas, Va.; and a brother, Bud Foster, Franklin.
In addition to her parents and husband, Lucille was preceded in death by three sisters, Jean Stellman, Nancy Foster and Margaret "Peg" Harley, and three brothers, Paul, Bill and Clair Foster.
Memorials may be made either to Alzheimer's research or the American Cancer Society.

Calling hours: 11:30 a.m. until time of service Thursday (6-8-17) in CUNNINGHAM FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City.
Service: Funeral at 1 p.m. Thursday (6-8-17) in the funeral home with the Rev. Willard Morse officiating.
Burial: North Liberty Cemetery.
