Dale L. McFadden of Findley Township, Mercer, passed away unexpectedly Monday morning, May 29, 2017, in the emergency room of Grove City Medical Center. He was 74.
Dale was born in Coal Valley, Venango County, on July 19, 1942, to Glenn and Gladys (Eddinger) McFadden. He grew up in Pone Hill, attended Victory Joint High School and married Judy A. Riddle on Nov. 23, 1968.
He retired in 2003 from Pennsylvania Rail Car Co., where he was a machinist for 20 years. Formerly he worked at SATEC of Grove City.
Dale attended Wayside Community Church, Mercer.
He enjoyed hunting and riding quads, but mostly he liked spending time with his family and grandchildren.
He is survived by: his wife Judy at home; two daughters, Kimberly Bish and husband Tom, Mercer, and Amy McFadden-Perrine, Grove City; four grandchildren, Nathan Slocum, Zach Perrine, Carson Bish and Abby Perrine; a son-in-law, Brad Perrine, Grove City; two brothers, Thomas McFadden and wife Pat, Franklin, and James McFadden and wife Lois, Auburndale, Fla.; a sister-in-law, Nola Chase, Clintonville; and many nieces and nephews.
His parents; an infant brother, George; a brother, Neil; and a sister-in-law, Sandy McFadden, preceded Dale in death.

Calling hours: 2 p.m. to time of service Wednesday (5-31-17) in Wayside Community Church, 1911 Mercer-Grove City Road, Mercer.
Memorial service: 3 p.m. Wednesday in the church.
