Send flowers in memory of Albert

There were so many trips I vividly remember when we took the drive from Pittsburgh to Jamestown where we were greeted by his warm smile, big hugs, and then spend hours just talking and catching up. Even though I may have barely been in grade school, I don't remember ever needing to turn on the TV; we sat and simply talked all day long and I felt included. There were many a summer I spent above Doc Warner's, and Uncle Al never seemed to tire of having me (at least that he admitted) for weeks on end! The one thing that stands out was his laugh, his infectious laughter where you would find yourself laughing even if you didn't know what you were laughing at merely because Uncle Al was laughi...ng and it didn't matter! These past years he would call me at 8 at 9 'o'clock in the morning (Pittsburgh time) and tell me to get up and get a move on it...even though it might be 5 or 6 AM here in Vegas. I will miss him checking up on me and dearly miss the kind, gentle soul that was my Uncle Al. He will leave a void in the hearts and lives of his kids, but they carry with them the memory of how proud he was of all of them, and I pray they know he is STILL watching over them. He was forever handsome, bright, witty, charming, and a treasure to anyone who was lucky enough to have known him. And while those who loved him had to say good-bye - for a time - God is the lucky one to have my Uncle Al with Him now...Pug.Read more
