Willis R. "Will" Slusher, 82, a Grove City resident since 1981, passed with his family surrounding him on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2019, in Butler Memorial Hospital, Butler.
Known as "Will" to family and friends, he was born on Feb. 7, 1936, in Dillman, Ind., to Ronald L. and Leota (Risinger) Slusher. He married Thelma Jean "T.J." Peschel on Sept. 3, 1960.
Will was raised in Dillman, Ind., and graduated from Jackson Township High School in 1954. He attended and graduated from Purdue University and was later drafted into the U.S. Army.
Following his military service, he became employed as an engineer with Cooper Bessemer, Mount Vernon, Ohio. He remained with Cooper retiring after 42 years of service working for the company in various positions and locations such as Corry and Grove City.
He was a member of The Elks Club, Mount Vernon, Ohio, where he served as past-exulted ruler and sang in the Elks Choir. Also he was a member of F. and A.M. Lodge, Mount Vernon. While living in Grove City, he was a member of Grove City Rotary Club and Tower Presbyterian Church.
Will is survived by his wife, T.J. at home; two sons, Gregory A. Slusher and wife Pamela, Shelby Township, Mich., and Todd E. Slusher and fiancee, Penny Auman, Greensboro, N.C.
His parents; two sisters, Wilma and Wilda; and a brother Wilbur, preceded Will in death.

Calling hours: From 5 to 7 p.m. Friday (2-8-19) at CUNNINGHAM FUNERAL HOME INC., 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City.
Service: Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Saturday (2-9-19) at Tower Presbyterian Church, 248 S. Broad St., Grove City, with the Rev. Daniel Hall officiating.
