William H. Juriga


William H. 'Bill' Juriga passed away at 5:25 a.m. Monday, March 18, 2019, in O'Brien Convalescent Home, Masury, Ohio, from cancer following an extended illness. He was 74.
Mr. Juriga lived in Farrell. He was born Sept. 5, 1944, in Greenville to Henry and Mary Krompak Juriga.
Bill was married to the former Mary Ann Esposito May 25, 1974. She survives at home.
He was a graduate of Reynolds High School, Class of 1963. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served from 1964 to 1968 attaining the rank of staff sergeant. He served at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, and Clark Field in the Philippines serving in the 636the Security Police Squadron PACAF. After his military service, he worked at the former Westinghouse Electric Corp., Sharon, and UPMC Horizon Farrell in the security departments.
Bill was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Parish in Farrell. He was a voracious reader, particularly of history and the military. He enjoyed posting on Facebook and presenting a daily quiz for his many friends to view. His other pastimes include making plastic models of aircraft and metal detecting.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Solak and her husband Joey, Pittsburgh; his beloved granddaughter, Nina; and a brother, John and his wife Frances, Elmira, N.Y.

Calling hours: From 9 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday (3-21-19) in A.E. PUSTINGER FUNERAL HOME LTD., 1310 Idaho St., Farrell.
Service: Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday (3-21-19) in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 601 Roemer Blvd., Farrell, with the Rev. Matthew J. Ruyechan, pastor, officiating.
Burial: St. Anthony Cemetery, Hermitage, with military honors rendered by the combined honor guards of the Farrell and West Middlesex VFW posts and the Wheatland American Legion post.

Willie was my 1st cousin .His Dad & my mom we’re sister & brother
I have great memories of (aka ) Willie that’s what I called him when we were young We got to see each other during the summer .at his house or mine . I’m glad he reached out & we were reconnected on Facebook this summer.
He now is with his mom & dad and the rest of the Jurgia family.
