William A. Gerber, 89, of Hermitage, passed away in his residence on Friday, Oct. 6, 2017.
Born in Sharon on Feb. 25, 1928, William was the son of the late George and Mary Dohn Gerber.
His wife, Grace Burdette Gerber, preceded him in death in 2014.
William retired in 1990 from Roth Brothers Roofing.
He was Lutheran by faith.
An outdoorsman, William enjoyed fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed woodworking.
Surviving are: his daughters, Lynn (Peter) Olshavsky of Hermitage and Cheryl (Earle) Mace of Meadville, five grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Carl, Jake, George and Howard Gerber, and three sisters, Venetta Kelly, Sue Long and Kate Brinkley.

Funeral service: 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home with Rev. Michael Lozano officiating.
Interment: America's Cemetery, Hermitage.
