Virginia B. Amos, 79, of Stoneboro, passed away peacefully Thursday, Jan. 31, 2019, at Grove Manor in Grove City.
Virginia was born at home in Stoneboro on May 29, 1939, to the late John Phillip Hines and Ruby Whitthall.
She was a 1957 graduate of Lakeview High School and went on to graduate from the Youngstown Beauty School. She was a beautician for a number of years at Jud's Beauty Shop in Sandy Lake and also worked at the Interstate Auto Auction, now Adesa, for more than 20 years.
Virginia was married to her beloved husband, Richard L. "Dick" Amos on June 2, 1958, he preceded her in death on Feb. 26, 1999.
Virginia was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star 110. She also played in many card clubs over the years and she liked to travel, especially to the Southwest. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed taking care of her children and grandchildren.
Virginia was of the Presbyterian faith.
Virginia is survived by her daughter, Rebecca L. "Becki" Campbell and husband William "Jesse" of Stoneboro; son, Richard J. "Rick" Amos; grandchildren, Chelsie, Danny and Sydney Campbell, all of Stoneboro; brother, William Hines Sr. and wife Jan of Franklin, and sister-in-law, Mary Lou Hines.
In addition to her parents and husband, Virginia was preceded in death by her son, Daniel "Danny" Amos, and brother, John P. Hines III.

Service: Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday (2-5-19) in the funeral home, with the Rev. Justin Spurgin, pastor of Messiah Baptist Church, officiating.
Interment: Oak Hill Cemetery.
