Valerie L. Powell


Valerie L. Powell, 61, of Masury, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday evening, March 26, 2019, in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Youngstown.
Valerie was born April 7, 1957, in Butler, Pa., a daughter of the late Howard and Harriet (Hackett) Reisinger and attended Reynolds School District.
Valerie was employed by Consumer Support Services in Niles, Ohio, where she worked as a personal caregiver for more than 20 years.
A very hard worker, she enjoyed crocheting in her free time. Valerie loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by four daughters, Charity Reisinger, of Brookfield, Ohio, Constance Noble, of Greenville, Billiejo Hillman and her husband Kenny, of Sharon, and Julia Prentice, of Masury; a son, Joseph Fair and his wife Debra, of Hermitage; 19 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Ruth Reisinger, of Alabama, Lela Morton and her husband Bruce, of Andover, Ohio, and Brenda Sharbutt and her husband Donald, of Sharon; and her best friend, Tammy Buchanan, of Masury.
In addition to her parents, Valerie was preceded in death by a son, Samuel Reisinger; two sisters, Wanda Reisinger and Diane Byers; and two brothers, Bruce and Donald Reisinger.

Calling hours: 2 p.m. until the time of the service Monday (4-1-19) in J. BRADLEY McGONIGLE FUNERAL HOME and CREMATORY Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon.
Memorial service: 3 p.m. Monday, in the funeral home.
