Tony M. DeMaria of Findley Township, Mercer, passed away on Sunday evening, June 4, 2017, in Grove City Medical Center, following a three-week illness. He was 86.
Tony was born in Grove City on Nov. 8, 1930, to Dominick and Catherine (Barbuto) DeMaria. He married Evelyn C. Snyder on July 6, 1951. She preceded him in death on Aug. 1, 2005.
He retired from Cooper Energy Service, Grove City, where he was a chipper in the foundry for many years. Tony served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
Tony was a member of Wayside Community Church and he was an avid hunter.
Survivors include a daughter, Carol J. DeMaria, and a son, David A. DeMaria, both Mercer; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Caroline Mongiello of Mercer; and a brother, Johnny DeMaria of Elyria, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; a daughter, Katherine Shealy; three sisters, Rose Snow, Angelina Corbin and Mary Bonnani; and four brothers, Mickey, James, Carlo and Joseph DeMaria.

Service: Funeral at 11 a.m. Thursday (6-8-17) at Wayside Community Church, 1911 Mercer-Grove City Road, Mercer, with the Rev. Lester Rowan officiating.
Burial: Crestview Memorial Park, with military honors.
