Thomas C. Provins, 61, of Farrell passed away at 5:15 p.m. Friday, Aug. 25, 2017, in Family Hospice-Canterbury Center, Pittsburgh.
Mr. Provins was born Sept. 3, 1955, in Altoona, Pa., and was raised in Erie.
Tom was employed at the former Trotters, Sharpsville, where he was known by his co-workers as "Groovy." He was later employed at Vec Technology, LLC, Reynolds Industrial Park.
Tom was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church, Sharon. He was a highly skilled wood carver and enjoyed displaying his work at craft shows.
He will be missed by his family, which includes his wife, the former Doreen Amann; and a stepson, Allen Eirich, and an "adopted daughter" Marcy Levin, both of Erie.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, 383 Main Ave., 5th Floor, Norwalk, CT 06851.
