Thomas Paul Liszka


Thomas Paul Liszka, 84, passed from this world to our heavenly home early Thursday (March 28, 2019).
Mr. Liszka was born April 9, 1934, to George and Zofia (Wojnarowski) Liszka in Jamestown.
He married Anne Marie Bassick Jan. 4, 1958.
Thomas was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. His love of the Lord and joy of life was an example to his family and all who knew him.
Thomas was active at St. Michael Parish, serving on parish council and as a leader of the charismatic prayer group, and serving on the Diocesan Charismatic Renewal Committee.
Thomas served in the Army for two years, stationed in Hawaii, and continued in the Army Reserves until 1963.
He retired from Chicago Bridge and Iron after 26 years of service as a foreman.
Thomas took great pride in his orchard and gardens, which provided lots of jobs and adventures for his children.
He leaves: his loving wife, Anne; three daughters, Lisa (Charles), Lori (Kenneth), and Paula (Edward); and four sons, Thomas (Mary), Todd (Anne), Richard, and Scott.
"Boompa" will be missed by: 14 grandchildren, Julie, Melissa, Ryan, Joshua, Jessica, John, Nathan, Zachary, Madison, Anne, Daniel, Matthew, Mary, and Melina; and nine great-grandchildren, RJ, Braydon, Lauren, Brady, Braeden, Jackson, Avonlea, Austen, and Finley. His sister Harriet, and brothers Leo (Clara) and Frank (Nancy) also survive him.
Thomas was preceded in death by: his parents; siblings, John, Joseph, Rose, and Stefi; and a great-grandaughter, Alaina.
Thomas will be greatly missed by his family but they know he is in heaven, praying for them.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, 85 N. High St. Greenville, PA 16125.

Services: Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday (4-2-19) in St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, Greenville, with Rev. V. David Foradori, pastor of the church, as celebrant. Greenville VFW Post 3374 will render Military Honors at the conclusion of the Mass.
Burial: St. Michael Cemetery.

I always enjoyed when I would take a deer up to be processed in the early years.Tom would tell me about and show me the big one he shot.
