Thomas J. Lagun of Pine Township, passed away Tuesday evening, May 30, 2017, in Autumn Grove Care Center following a lengthy illness. He was 77.
Tom was born June 11, 1939, in Panama to Joseph and Anna Lagun. He was married to Valerie Peth; she preceded him in death 2005.
He was raised in the Catholic faith. Tom served in the U.S. military, he formerly was a City of Pittsburgh, police officer, an armored car driver, K-9 officer and he also formerly work in security at Kennywood Park, Pittsburgh.
Tom enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, tinkering with things, drinking coffee and listening to birds and watching squirrels.
He was a funny man, a good father, and he could make anyone laugh. He enjoyed sharing stories of his time on the city police force.
A large family survives Tom. His local survivors are: a son, Mitch Lagun and wife Carri, Grove City, and two grandchildren, Chazz and Alec Lagun.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Regis Lagun.
