Thomas F. "Trapper" Gordon, 75, of Fowler, passed away Tuesday morning, Aug. 1, 2017, at home.
He was born Feb. 23, 1942, in Sharon, a son of Thomas S. and Florence Moore Gordon.
He was a Vernon High School graduate and was in the Coast Guard from 1960 to 1964.
Thomas was of the Methodist faith.
He retired as a self-employed handyman. He had previously worked at Brainard Strapping.
He belonged to Kinsman American Legion, the Ohio Trappers Association, the "coffee club " at Five-Points and was a lifetime member of N.A. Fishing Club.
His hobbies were fishing, trapping and hunting.
Thomas is survived by: two daughters, Florence (Archie) Hess of Virginia and Dr. Carol Ann Zammara of Oregon; a son, Thomas (Elizabeth) Gordon of North Carolina; two grandsons; two great-grandchildren; five sisters, Connie Scharville of Burghill; Bonnie (Carl) Simmers of Silver Lake; Rev. Kathie (Dave) Thomas, Poland, Ohio; Yvonne (Wayne) Hurst of Fowler; and Gail Trunick of Burghill; and three brothers, Ronald (Florence) Gordon of Burghill; Donald (Helene) Gordon of Fowler; and Jon Gordon of Wisconsin.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday (8-7-17) in GALLOWAY-ONSTOTT FUNERAL HOME, 3451 state Route 7, Hartford.
Memorial service: 8 p.m. Monday in the funeral home with Rev. Mary Ann Rufener officiating.
Graveside service: 11 a.m. Tuesday (8-8-17) in Westview Cemetery, Vernon Township.
