Thomas "Tom" M. Barnes, 76, of North Charleston, husband of Mary L. Barnes, passed away Sunday, Oct. 29, 2017, at his residence.
Tom was born in Sharon on Aug. 9, 1941, son of the late F. Marshall Barnes and Minnie Barnes.
He was a graduate of Sharon High School and received his bachelor's degree from Youngstown State University.
He was a commercial agent at Carolina One in Summerville, S.C., where he served the community helping small business owners for the past 15 years. He retired after over 20 years with Ford Motor Co.
Tom was a member of the Rotary Club and the Masonic lodge. He was an adviser for SCORE, which helped people start small businesses. He was an avid golfer and a loving husband, father and devoted grandfather.
Surviving in addition to his wife Mary are: his daughter, Katharine Boehm (Donald) of Falls Church, Va.; his son, Thomas "Tom" Barnes Jr. (Ginevra) of Melbourne, Australia; four grandchildren: Rosina, Liliana, Samuel and Thomas III; and two sisters: Sally Barnes of Hermitage, and Judy Rice (Mark) of Hermitage.

Funeral: 4 p.m. Sunday (11-5-17) with Pastor Lew Voisey officiating. A Masonic service will also be held, offered by Shenango Valley Lodge 810.
Burial: Oakwood Cemetery, Hermitage.
