Sylvia A. Woodcock, of Young Street, New Castle, passed away the afternoon of Nov. 12, 2016, in UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh. She was 68.
Born Aug. 8, 1948. in New Castle, she was a daughter of Ignatius and Austia Patterson Berry.
A graduate of Grove City High School, she was employed for 15 years with Frenz Petroleum Corp. in accounts payable/receivable.
Sylvia will always be remembered as being a hard worker and always keeping busy.
She was a member of North Liberty Presbyterian Church.
Sylvia is survived by her companion, Michael Swyers; her daughter and son-in-law, Jessica and Chris Macy, Columbia, Mo.; one brother, Gerry Berry, Grove City; her first husband, Jack Spanglehour; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins in the New Castle area.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
The family asks that any memorial contributions may be given to a veterans charity.
