Sue Ann's Story
Sue Ann Hennessy, 92, of Whispering Oaks, Hermitage, formerly of South Hermitage Road, died Thursday (Jan. 25, 2018) at Sharon Regional Medical Center.
Born at her aunt's home in Polk on Oct. 1, 1925, she was the daughter of the late James Henry and Ida Elizabeth Myers McWilliams.
She married James Patrick Hennessy on Feb. 21, 1941; he preceded her in death on May 26, 2008.
She was a homemaker and known for baking wedding cakes and cooking for the priest at The Church of the Good Shepherd of which she was a member of the Alter Rosary Society.
Survivors include: her children, James D. "Butch" Hennessy (Sue) of Brookfield, Thomas H. Hennessy (Val) of Champion, Ohio, Iris S. Britten (Gary) of Hermitage, Sherry J. Hartman of Hermitage, Ted W. Hennessy (Mary Ann) of Hermitage, and Nanette Barth (William) of Hubbard; 20 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, LeRoy "Mick" Hennessy, six brothers and two sisters.
Memorials may be given to the church for the Faith Formation Center.

Calling hours: 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday (1-28-18) at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 3126 Main St., West Middlesex.
Service: Funeral Mass 11 a.m. Monday (1-29-18) at the Church of the Good Shepherd, West Middlesex, with Father Sean Kerins officiating.
Interment: America's Cemetery, Hermitage.
