Shirley J. Leedham, 90. passed away peacefully Thursday morning Oct. 12, 2017, at VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler, following a period of declining health.
Shirley was born in Sharon on April 6, 1927, the daughter of Raphael and Lily Mae (Hassell) Lynch and was a 1945 graduate of Sharon High School.
On July 11, 1947, Shirley married Thomas R. Leedham Sr. with whom she would share nearly 50 of marriage and have two children, Tom and Sheryl.
Mrs. Leedham worked as an operator for Bell Telephone in Sharon, at Fitzpartick's Department Store and later Whitmer Smith. She loved sewing and was an avid collector of many types of knick-knacks.
She leaves behind: her son, Thomas R. Leedham Jr., and his companion Kathy Andree of Sharon; her daughter, Sheryl Bagnall, and her husband William of Millersville, Pa; three grandchildren, Ryan Leedham, and his wife Sandra of Hermitage; Sheena Leedham of London, Ohio; and Brian Bagnall of Millersville; three great-grandchildren, Ryan, Jorge, and Jonathan Leedham; and family friends, Gary and Tracy Swogger.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Tom on Jan. 22, 1997, and by her brother, Harold Lynch.
