Sherry Ann Cozad


It is with great sadness the family and friends mourn the loss of their beloved mother and friend, Sherry Ann Cozad, 82, of Grove City, who passed away in Countryside, Mercer, on Tuesday, April 16, 2019, at 12:56 AM after an extended illness.
She was born in Mercer on Sept. 28, 1936, to Norman John and Gladys McCracken Ringer.
Sherry previously worked at Grove City College, Rudy's Restaurant, Mercer County Jail, State Regional Correctional Facility of Mercer and Here's Howe.
She previously attended Bethany Presbyterian Church in Mercer as well as Center Presbyterian Church in Grove City.
Sherry was affiliated with the Singles group, and she enjoyed card club with her friends.
She was loved by her family and friends and was known by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as Mema.
Sherry was compassionate, loving, selfless and thoughtful to all she crossed paths with. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.
Sherry is survived by her three children, Gary S. (Barbara) Cozad in Mercer, Kimberly S. Dembec in Mercer and Lynne A. (Robert) Hoar in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada; one sister, Donna Engstrom in Fredonia; two brothers, Richard (Joan) Ringer in Greensboro, N.C., and her twin brother, Gary (Eileen) Ringer in Florida; as well as 10 grandchildren and six great- grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Brenda Lee Przybylski; one son, Allen D. Cozad; and Milton Cozad, her former husband of 35 years.

Calling hours: From 10 a.m. until the time of service Saturday (4-20-19) at CUNNINGHAM FUNERAL HOME INC., 144 S. Pitt St., Mercer.
Service: Funeral will be at noon Saturday (4-20-19) at the funeral home, with Pastor Bill Woodman of Center Presbyterian Church officiating.
Burial: Findley Cemetery, Findley Township.

I remember Sherry when she was a cheerleader with my sister Pat at Mercer High School. Sherry was always so pretty & nice. My sincere condolences to the family.

Gary, Kim and Lynn and families,

I am so sorry. I had no idea Aunt Sherry died. Please know you are in mine and my families thoughts and prayers and on my heart . I know Sally Davey Jodie and I would have been there today had we known. So very very sorry we weren’t there.
